Our
conventional cross-cut roller furling genoa utilises medium finished,
balanced polyester sailcloth in a traditional panel layout, to
give high strength and maximum durability.
Design
Using the same computer aided design techniques that we use for
our high tech racing sails, the cross-cut roller furling genoa
is mathematically moulded for
smooth shaping and the panel perimeters are then mechanically
plotted and cut.
Construction
All our sails are glued before seaming with high tenacity bonded
polyester thread, this ensures strong accurate construction with
maximum resistance to abrasion and degradation by the ultra violet
radiation in sunlight.
Protection
As further protection, sacrificial strips are sewn to the leach
and foot. Available in a choice of colours these strips act as
an effective cover from ultra violet light, soot, exhaust fumes
and a host of other airborne pollutants.
